Lever — Privacy Policy
Lever ("the app") is developed and published by an independent developer ("we", "us"). This policy explains what data the app handles. The short version: your training data stays on your device — the only data that leaves it is pseudonymous usage analytics described below.
No accounts
Lever does not require an account, sign-up, or login. We do not ask for or collect your name, email address, or contact details. The app shows no third-party ads, and we do not sell your data.
Data stored on your device
Your training content lives locally on your phone and is not sent to us:
- your quiz answers (training experience, schedule, goal)
- your training program, workouts, and set-by-set logs
- settings (units, theme, rest-timer preferences)
This data is deleted when you uninstall the app or clear its storage. You can also export your training data from the app (Settings) — the export is a local file that you control.
Usage analytics (Amplitude)
To understand how the app is used and improve it, the app sends usage events to Amplitude, Inc., a third-party analytics provider. This includes things like which screens are opened and which features are used, together with technical information: device model, operating system version, app version, language/region, and a randomly generated identifier.
This analytics data is pseudonymous: it does not include your name or contact details, and it does not include the content of your training data (your programs, workouts, and logs are not sent). Amplitude processes this data on our behalf and may store it on servers outside your country; see the Amplitude Privacy Notice. We use analytics solely to improve the app — not for advertising, and we do not sell this data.
Purchases
Paid features are sold through Google Play Billing. Payments are processed entirely by Google; we never see or store your payment details. Google's processing of your payment data is covered by the Google Play Terms of Service and Google Privacy Policy. The app only receives a confirmation of your purchase (entitlement) to unlock features.
Notifications
The app can show local notifications (for example, when a rest timer finishes). The notification permission is optional, and notifications are generated on your device — no data is sent anywhere.
Your rights (GDPR, CCPA, and similar laws)
Your training data is under your direct control on your device — we cannot access it. For analytics data, you can request access to or deletion of the data associated with your device's analytics identifier: contact us at the email below and we will process the request, including forwarding the deletion to Amplitude. We do not sell personal data within the meaning of the CCPA.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If the app changes how it handles data (for example, if we add optional cloud backup), we will update this policy and change the effective date above before the change ships.
